Narendra MehtaIn 1978, Narendra Mehta, having been totally blind since the age of one, returned home to India for one purpose. In India, Narendra researched "Indian head massage" and subsequently developed his own unique therapy of ChampissageTM (Indian Head Massage), based on the traditional form of Indian champi and his own experience as a practicing therapist. Champissage DebutNarendra introduced Champissage at the 1981 ‘Mind, Body and Spirit’ exhibition at Olympia, England. One hundred and seventy-nine stressed clients came to Narendra’s stand; 179 recharged and relaxed clients left. For the next several years, the Champissage routine was modified and enhanced thanks to client feedback. He established the London Centre of Indian Champissage International (L.C.I.C.I) in 1995 and has trained students both in the UK and overseas. Narendra Mehta passed away in early 2011.
